When you register an account, apply as a developer, post a hiring request, or communicate through the Platform, you voluntarily provide us with information including:
- Identity & Contact Data: full name, email address, phone number, country, and time zone.
- Professional Profile Data (Developers): resume, work history, technical skills, GitHub profile, portfolio links, rates, availability, and references.
- Hiring Requirements (Clients): company name, job descriptions, tech stack requirements, team size, and budget.
- Payment & Billing Data: billing address, invoicing information, and payment method details (processed securely by our payment processors).
- Communications: messages sent through the Platform, support tickets, and feedback you submit.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you use the Platform, we automatically collect:
- Usage Data: pages visited, features used, search queries, session duration, clicks, and hiring activity.
- Device & Technical Data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers, and referring URLs.
- Log Data: server logs including timestamps, error reports, and performance metrics.

1.3 Information from Third Parties
If you connect a third-party account (such as GitHub, LinkedIn, or Google), we receive information that service shares with us, subject to your privacy settings on that service. We may also receive information about you from background screening services, reference checks, and publicly available professional sources to support our developer vetting process.

How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Matching and Placement: to match client hiring requirements with qualified, vetted developers based on skills, experience, availability, and technical fit.
- Account Management: to create and maintain your account, verify your identity, and provide access to Platform features.
- Developer Vetting: to conduct technical assessments, reference checks, and skill evaluations as part of our screening process.
- Platform Operations: to process payments, manage billing, handle disputes, and provide customer support.
- Communications: to send you onboarding emails, match notifications, invoices, product updates, and service announcements. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time.
- Safety & Fraud Prevention: to detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent activity, abuse, and security incidents.
- Product Improvement:to analyze usage patterns, conduct research, and improve the Platform's matching algorithms and features.
- Legal Compliance: to comply with applicable laws, respond to legal process, and enforce our agreements.
- Testimonials: with your explicit consent, to feature your experience as a case study or testimonial.

Information Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:
- Between Clients and Developers: when a match is facilitated, relevant profile and contact information is shared between the client company and the matched developer to enable the engagement.
- Service Providers: we engage trusted third-party vendors (including email delivery, payment processing, analytics, cloud hosting, and background screening providers) who process data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality and data protection obligations.
- Legal Requirements: we may disclose information when required by law, court order, governmental authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Codersera, our users, or the public.
- Business Transfers: in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change and your rights.
- With Your Consent: in any other circumstance, only with your explicit prior consent.

Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law. Specifically:
- Account data is retained for the life of the account plus up to 3 years following account closure.
- Financial records (invoices, payment data) are retained for 7 years as required by applicable tax law.
- Developer assessment records may be retained to support future placement requests, with your consent.
- Anonymized aggregate data may be retained indefinitely for research and product improvement.
You may request deletion of your personal data at any time (see Section 5), subject to legal retention requirements.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
